I didn't think I would actually do this... But this morning I woke up and I've been watching all these things on TV. I just had to do something for the anniversary.
Everyone has a story about 9/11, and I'm no different. We had thought that my aunt was on the second plane that hit the towers, and for four days we waited to hear from her. It wasn't until the 15th that she finally got through on her cell phone, and informed us that she didn't make the flight. My baby cousin had gotten sick outside security, and my aunt decided to catch another flight. She was grounded for almost a week, but she and my baby cousin made it home.
Those were the longest days of my life.
So, five years ago the whole country held it's breath, and this is my little piece of rememberance. Not only for the people that we lost, but for the people that made it out.
Please, don't flame it. You don't like it, then go someplace else.

Wow.. your aunt sure was lucky.
I like how you made the sun shine between the buildings.. because what I get from it.. is strength and hope. Two things that come to mind when thinking of this day.. five years ago. It has gone by so quickly.. imagine when we look back on this.. 10 years from now.. then 20. I just hope people remember this day.. not due to the war.. but remember it for the heroic people who were lost.
Hopefully no one does flame this.. for the most part.. anyone that does isn't someone you should care about. You aren't hurting or insulting anyone.. you're just paying a tribute.
